STUDENT Recess

Weather permitting, supervised playground time is provided for the students during the day. Students are encouraged to wear clothing appropriate for outside play.

PUBLIC USE & Access

The playground and field are open to the public outside of regular school hours. Please follow the following rules during your visit:

  • The playground is available to the general public after the end of the school day, on weekends, and during school breaks.

  • The playground is off-limits every day from sunset to sunrise.

  • Visitors age 9 and younger must be supervised by an adult.

  • School employees reserve the right to ask students and the general public to leave for any reason.

  • Vehicles are not allowed on the playground or field areas.

  • Do not visit the playground while school is in session.

  • Play at your own risk. The playground is unsupervised.

PLAYGROUND & FIELD RENOVATIONS: 2018 - present

Since 2018, our Playground Committee has worked to plan and fundraise for a much needed safe, fun, and creative playground space for our nearly 275 students and broader community.

We have created a design that incorporates three areas: replacing our playground equipment for safer and more inclusive play, adding in an agricultural area for students to learn about growing their own food, and a hard-packed gravel walking/running path that will outline our soccer and softball field as a safe and accessible recreation space for our whole community. So far, the walking path has been completed, an outdoor amphitheater has been installed, and the sand pit play area is ready for use. Most importantly, the new playground equipment has been installed!
